Portugal is one of my favourite places to travel (and not just because my family is from there!). Portugal is one of the most affordable international destinations and also very safe - making it the perfect spot for solo travellers. The country is a beautiful blend of white sandy beaches, architecturally beautiful cities, rugged coastlines, and amazing food and wine culture.
